Hitting a milestone!

This research project is big because nothing like this has been done before. A goal for the project was to interview 90 people who identify as LGBTQ+ who had accessed the welfare benefits system. And we’ve hit this goal!

Looking across who we have interviewed so far there are some really obvious gaps that we are keen to fill. These are:

  • People of colour;
  • Lesbians, particularly in long-term relationships
  • Couples who have a joint benefits claim, particularly those with children
  • And people who live in Scotland and Wales. In Scotland we are particularly interested in speaking to people who have received benefits from Social Security Scotland.

If you fit into any of these categories, please do drop us a line via the “Get involved” page.
